“The Power of a Woman’s Words” by Sharon Jaynes is life-changing. She stepped on my toes so many times in this book, but this book challenged me to do so much better in my speech. I think a great non-fiction book is one that challenges you to take what is written and actually incorporate them into your life. This book did that for me. This book is split into three sections: the power we possess, the people we impact and the purposeful pursuit of taming the tongue. Each section has sub-chapters and goes more into depth. Sharon Jaynes uses real life examples and stories/sections of the Bible. I have highlighted many parts of my book, but I think the quote that really hit home with me was, “Oftentimes, the most powerful words of a woman are the ones she will never speak.” (p. 209). Wow! This really hit home with me. It made me realize that sometimes I need to just listen instead of speaking. I highly rec...

"Don't Overthink It" by Anne Bogel was life changing to me! I am definitely part of the overthinking club! I overthink everything, whether it is a small or large decision. I have struggled with this all my life, and many times I've wished I could change or at least somewhat conquer this. Anne Bogel gave me hope that I can get a handle on this. This book is full of easy to use strategies to help those in the overthinking club! It is a very easy read and Bogel also shares some real life stories of her own life. I have higlighted much of this book, but one of my favorite quotes from her is when she is talking about perfectionism. She says, "The remedy is to give yourself permission to fail-failure being defined as "anything short of absolute perfection"-and grace when you actually do." (p. 43) I love this! Sometimes we think about giving other people grace, however, we forget about giving ourselves grace! I definitely recommend this...

I really enjoyed "Dead End" by Nancy Mehl. This is the 3rd book in the Kaely Quinn Profiler series. I really love this series. I believe this is my favorite books by Nancy Mehl. I really didn't know how this book was going to end, and I was very surprised at the end. It had a twist that I never saw coming! This book continues with Kaely and her partner, Noah. Kaely and Noah are trying to find out who the "copycat killer" is. This killer is a copycat to Kaely's own father, who is in prison. Kaely is asked to confront her father and see what she can find out. This creates a lot of stress and tension in Kaely's life. There is lots of suspense and a little bit of romance in this novel. I highly recommend this novel to all fans of good, clean, suspense with a little romance fiction. I received this novel from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.

Lisa Harris did it again with "The Traitor's Pawn". Her books keep getting better and better. This is definitely my favorite of hers, so far. Her characters were very relatable, and they stayed with me, even long after I put the book down. This book centers around FBI Agent Jack Shannon and Detective Aubrey Grayson. Jack comes back to town for a case and he ends up helping out with a case involving Aubrey Grayson, who was a childhood friend of Jack's. There is suspense and a little romance in this book. There were a few twists along the way. I definitely recommend this book and all books by Lisa Harris. I read a good bit of inspirational romantic suspense authors, and Lisa Harris is one of my favorites! I received this book from the author through NetGalley for my honest opinion.
