“Love Life Again” by Tracie Miles is a great read!   Tracie Miles shows us how to enjoy life.   I tend to be the glass is half empty-type person, so this was a wonderful book for me.   Sometimes I forget to enjoy life.   I needed her reminders in my life! Tracie shares true stories throughout this book, which I love.   There are thirteen chapters with lots of practical advice and a challenge at the end of each chapter.   I have lots of highlighter throughout this book as Tracie had so many great quotes! One of my favorite quotes she stated was, “Loving life is a choice, not a by-product of everything going our way.   The choice to love life is ours, and our peace, joy, contentment, fulfillment and overall happiness depend on the choice we make.” (p. 35). This was the first book I’ve read by Tracie Miles, but it definitely won’t be my last!   I can’t wait to read more by her.   I definitely recommend this book.   It’s a very ...
“Battle Ready” by Kelly Balarie is a great “how to” book to retrain our brain to approach our thoughts and problems with confidence and positivity.   This is one of those books that really needs to be read slowly to absorb all the great truths in it.   It is divided into twelve different truths.   Each chapter gives an abundance of information for changing our thinking.   This is definitely a book that I will keep on hand and go back and read again, probably slower the second time around! I recommend this book to anyone needing more help and confidence to conquer your fears and doubts. I received this book from Baker Books for my honest opinion.
“Called to Protect” by Lynette Eason was a great read!   Of course, I’ve never read anything by Lynette Eason that I didn’t love.   She is one of my favorite authors of all time. This book follows the St. John family.   The subject is human trafficking.   It does get intense at times, but Lynette does a great job of addressing this issue and coming to a resolution.   If you enjoy a good, clean, suspenseful read with a little romance thrown in, you will love this book.   I highly recommend it! I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley.
“The Reckoning at Gossamer Pond” by Jaime Jo Wright was an engrossing read!   It caught my attention from the first page and continued throughout the entire book.   This book goes back and forth from in the 1900's to modern day.   I loved how Jaime wove things that happened back then to things that are happening now.   There is light mystery throughout the whole book.   I couldn’t wait to find out what really happened in the 1900's to now. This is the 2 nd novel I’ve read by Jaime Jo Wright, and it won’t be my last.   I also enjoyed the 1 st one immensely.   If you like good, clean books with some light mystery thrown in, you will love this book. I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.
As the final book in the Chesapeake Valor series, “Dead Drift” by Dani Pettrey is a wonderful ending to this series.   Dani delivered suspense and twists throughout this book, as she does every other book she’s written!   Her books, including this one, are so easy to get hooked from the very first page. This book centers a lot around Luke and Kate.   It shows the ups and downs they are going through along with preventing a major catastrophe.   Garrett and Finley are also in this book a lot as they are trying to solve Jenna’s, Garrett’s sister, murder.   This book really had two mysteries going on.   I thought it would be hard to keep up, but it wasn’t.   I was able to keep track of both dilemmas. I definitely recommend this book.   If you like good, clean, romantic suspense books, Dani Pettrey is the author for you.   I have read all of her books, and I’ve never been disappointed. I received this book from the author and NetGalley ...
“Haddies Guild” by Peggy Ryan Hembree is an interesting mystery.   It centered around the gaming world.   That was a different subject area than what I’m used to, so I did enjoy something different.   It caught my attention towards the beginning of the book but got a little mundane towards the middle.   However, there was a huge twist that really caught my attention.   This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I would highly recommend this book.   It is a good, clean, suspense novel. I received this book from the publisher and NetGalley for my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed “Deception” by Lillian Duncan.   This book hooked me from the first page and continued throughout the whole book.   It had me guessing what was really going on, and it definitely had twists and turns throughout. This book centered around Patti and Jamie, twins, who haven’t seen each other for years.   Along with a lot of suspense, this book had a little romance and faith thrown in.   I like the way Lillian shared the gospel message without being preachy. I highly recommend this book and any book by Lillian Duncan. I received this book from the publisher and NetGalley for my honest opinion.
