I enjoyed "With All Your Heart" by Christine Hoover. This was a very encouraging and inspiring read. Hoover encouraged me to work harder on my Christian walk and to strive to put my allegiance fully in King Jesus. The book is broken up into 3 parts: A King and a Kingdom, False Kings, and An Unshakeable Kingdom. I really enjoyed the 2nd part the best. Hoover delved deeply into these topics: Anxiety, Image, Control, Escape, Isolation, Approval, and Comfort. I like how she specially addressed these topics. Several of these are ones I struggle with almost daily, and her words of wisdom really helped me in these areas. I highly recommend this book to all women out there. I believe Hoover will help you deepen your Christian walk and to fully put your allegiance in King Jesus. I received this book from Baker Books for my honest opinion.

I believe “Dead Silence” by Robin Caroll was the best book I’ve ever read by her! There was something about this book that was so engrossing to me. It hooked me from the first page and continued through the whole book. “Dead Silence” is a fast paced, suspenseful novel. I could kind of see the way the story was playing out, but there were a few twists I didn’t see coming. The characters were very relatable. There was no romance in this book, just suspense. Usually I read suspense novels with a little romance, but I really enjoyed this one. The romance wasn’t even needed. The main character is a mother with a deaf son. She reads lips and sees a guard talking about murdering the senator. This starts a mountain of problems for her and her son. This is a mother that will move heaven and earth for her son. I guess, as a mother, I could relate to what she would do to protect her son. I definitely r...

I loved "Made to Move Mountains" by Kristen Welch! This book was so motivational to me. There were so many parts of it that were so inspiring. The author shows us how to take our dreams and disasters to accomplish what we want in life. She calls these mountains....some good mountains and some bad mountains. One of my favorite quotes in the book is, "Some days, we need to look behind us to see how many mountains we've already scaled. It's too easy to forget that much of what we enjoy today is what we asked God for yesterday. When we reflect on what God has already done in our lives, our hearts, and our homes and we stop and praise him for it-our perspective changes everything." - p. 40 This book is full of wonderful quotes that are life changing. I have highlighted so many parts. I definitely recommend this book to everyone, whether you are "climbing a mountain" right now or not. I received this book from Baker Books for my honest op...

“Copycat Killer” by Laura Scott is a great, easy read. This is part of the Love Inspired Suspense True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn series. This book caught my attention in the first few pages and kept my attention throughout. This book centers around a double homicide that ends up being very similar to one that took place 20 years ago. Nate Slater is the detective on the case. He must protect Willow and Lucy. Willow is the sister/sister-in-law of the murdered couple. Lucy is the murdered couple’s young daughter. She is the only witness to the case. There was a slight twist at the end of this book. I recommend this book if you like good, clean, romantic suspense. I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.

“Praying Women” by Sheila Walsh was an eye-opening book for me! I have learned so much more about prayer. Sheila shared so many great quotes and ideas about this subject. I am so glad I read this book. It has truly changed my life. My favorite quote from the book was, “Everything without God is nothing. Nothing with God is everything.” I love this quote. It’s something I will try to hold onto for everything in life. Sheila also talks about having a fighting verse. I love this, also! I never thought about this, but since then, I have claimed a fighting verse. I definitely recommend this book to every woman out there. Sometimes prayer is hard, but Sheila Walsh shows how prayer doesn’t have to be hard. She gives some very good pointers and insight into prayer and how to apply it to our prayer lives. Prayer is very important, and it does work! I received this book from Baker Books for my ...

“Silent Shadows” by Natalie Walters is the third and final book in the Trilogy, but this book could be read on its own. For some reason, I had a little bit harder time getting into this book compared to the other two. But once I got about half way through, I was hooked. There was a huge twist I never saw coming! This book follows Pecca Gallegos, who has moved to a new town to protect her son and herself. Colton Crawford is one of Pecca’s patients and soon becomes Pecca’s protector. There are strange circumstances happening to Pecca, and together, Pecca and Colton try to figure out what is going on. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys good, clean, romantic suspense. I received from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.
