I always enjoy Kelly Irvin’s suspense novels, and this one was no exception. “Closer Than She Knows” got my attention from the first page! This is a great suspense-filled, clean novel, which I always love! This novel centers around Teagan O’Rourke. Teagan is a court reporter so she knows what it’s like to be surrounded by crime. But this time, she’s much closer to the crime than she would like. Her very good friend, Max Kennedy, and family (who are part of law enforcement) come along side her to try to help her find out what is happening. I definitely recommend this novel to everyone who enjoys good, clean, suspense-filled novels. Kelly Irvin is a great author to follow! I received a complimentary copy of this book. I really enjoyed reading “A Different Kind of Love Story” by Landra Young Hughes. Landra shared a lot of her own story and also shared stories/scriptures from the Bible. I appreciated Landra’s raw honesty, and it felt like Landra was sitting here talking to me as a friend. I loved how she stressed, throughout the whole book, that our identity is not based on what others think. I think we women all need to hear this. This is an age where we, as women, compare ourselves to other women often. This happens to women of all ages and walks of life. I know this, because I tend to do this often. Landra shows us how that doesn’t matter. All that matters is what God thinks of us. This was such a gentle reminder for me. I definitely recommend this book for all women. I received this book from Baker Books for my honest opinion.

I loved “Relative Silence” by Carrie Stuart Parks. I believe this is my favorite book, so far, by Carrie Stuart Parks, and I’ve read all of them. This book was intriguing from the first page, and I couldn’t put it down as I didn’t know how it would end! There was a huge twist that I didn’t see coming. Pipe Boone is the main character in this book. She lost her only daughter fifteen years ago in a boating accident. Piper survives her divorce and losing her job and comes back to her hometown of Curlew Island. Her family are pretty much American royalty. Weird things have happened on this island and continue since Piper has moved back home. Along the way Pipe meets Tucker Landry. Together, they start piecing together the death of her daughter and the other mysterious deaths. I highly recommend this book. It is clean yet full of suspense and adventure. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opin...

I loved “One Little Lie” by Colleen Coble. I have read all of Colleen Coble’s books, but I think this is my favorite of hers! It got my attention from the first page to the last page. I couldn’t wait to see how it would end, and I’m excited to say there will be another book after this one. It definitely had a twist for me. I had ideas as to who the “villain” was, but I never guessed who it ended up being. Jane Hardy is the main character in this novel. Her and her father escaped a cult years ago, and now Jane has been appointed interim sheriff. Reid Bechtol is a well-known journalist who has come to town. He ends up shadowing Jane and the two of them try to solve some murders that have happened in this town. I definitely recommend this novel by Colleen Coble. She is one of my favorite authors and has never disappointed me. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this rev...
