Still Life is a captivating and suspenseful read.  I was hooked from the first page.  This was a book I couldn’t put down.  I couldn’t wait to find out “who done it”.  This is the second book in the Chesapeake Series.  I have read all of Dani Pettrey’s books.  I love all of them, but I have to say, this one is my favorite so far.  Dani writes in a way that captivates you and keeps you wanting to continue reading until the end of the book!

This book starts with Avery going to an art show to see her best friend, Skylar.  When she gets there, she sees pictures of Skylar, but she isn’t there.  The story follows Avery and her friend, Parker, trying to find Skylar.  The whole gang from Cold Shot (the first book in the Chesapeake Series) get involved and help Avery and Parker in the hunt for Skylar.  There are twists and turns in trying to solve this mystery.

I definitely recommend this book to everyone!  I received this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Novel Threat by Traci Hunter Abramson

  “Hide and Seek” by Christy Barritt was a fantastic start to the Lantern Beach Guardians series.   It was so great to revisit Police Chief Cassidy Chambers.   She has become a favorite of mine in some of Christy Barritt’s other novels.   This book starts off with a huge mystery.   A young girl is found on the beach and to make matters worse, she can’t speak!   So Cassidy, along with her husband Ty, and her police force are trying to figure out the mystery.   This mystery really had me dumbfounded.   I had no idea what the ending was going to be. I have never read a Christy Barritt book that I haven’t loved.   I highly recommend all her books.   Her books are full of suspense and mystery, yet are extremely clean. I received this book from the author for my honest opinion.
